Bill Curry: Advisory Board Member

ESPN college football analyst Bill Curry had a ten-year career in the NFL before becoming a successful college football coach. As a player, he was under the direction of the venerable and mythic Vince Lombardi and the legendary Don Shula. As a coach he won two conference championships, was named the Associated Press Coach of the Year, and led the SEC in academic all-SEC honor roll selections.

Dr. Homer Rice: Advisory Board Member

Georgia Tech’s former athletic director, Dr. Homer Rice, originally conceived the Total Person concept. It was his belief that excellence is a result of a balanced life that encompasses academic excellence, athletic achievement and personal well being. The Total Person Program provides many opportunities for the student-athlete to achieve their potential in all areas of their lives.

Coach Phillip Ironside

As a coach you put your guard up when a stranger comes around and says they want to help. There usually is a catch. With Coach’s Corner and Steve there was not. I could list numerous things that Steve has done to better our program from helping find sponsors for kids to go to camp, to team building exercise, to taking kids one on one to try and help them through tough situations.

The love and caring that God has worked through you because of your faith and obedience has touched my life, inspired me, and made me grow in the faith more than you will know. I believe one of the reasons God put me on the football team at Riverwood is so I could meet you.

My motives, heart, and life have changed so much over the past six months, I can hardly believe it. I will be sure to stay in touch while I am at college.
