Campbell High Weightroom
Campbell High’s weight training facility was grossly inadequate. Their limited and out-of-date equipment was not only having a demoralizing effect on the student athletes, especially the football team, but was becoming a detriment to Coach Ironside and his athletes off-season training efforts. Athletic Director Mike Walker and Head Football Coach Shedrick Austin faced the daunting challenge of renovating their fitness center that had outdated equipment and needed new paint, flooring and mirrors. With help from Dan Fry, CEO of General Fitness Center, Doug Cagle, CEO of Cagles, Inc., Bobby Watkins of Watkins Freightlines and the people at Home Depot we were able to completely transform the space.
